DR. VICTOR KIM
Hailing from NJ, Dr. Victor Kim is a passionate dentist who pursued his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Proficient in Russian and with some knowledge of Spanish, he effectively communicates with patients from diverse backgrounds. His blend of personal experiences and extensive education empowers him to provide exceptional dental care, ensuring patients maintain healthy smiles. Transitioning to Georgia in 2023 with his wife Leah and newborn son Noah, Dr. Kim continues his commitment to compassionate, high-quality dental care at Family Smiles of Commerce.
DR. LEAH NAM
Dr. Leah Nam is a compassionate and skilled dentist dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical excellence and patient-centered care. Dr. Nam spent part of her childhood in Alaska before moving to New Jersey in her later years, where she continued her education and began her professional career in dentistry. While she provides comprehensive dental care for adults, Dr. Nam is also known for creating a comfortable, positive environment for younger patients. She also offers clear aligner therapy, helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles through modern, minimally invasive orthodontic treatment. As a mother of two, Dr. Nam understands the importance of gentle, personalized care and strives to make every visit an stress-free and welcoming experience.
CAROLYN FERRARA
LEAD ASSISTANT
Carolyn Ferrara is a dedicated Dental Assistant who began her career in 2010 after graduating from Penn Foster’s Technical School. With over a decade of experience, she takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their dental visits. Carolyn is passionate about creating a friendly, welcoming environment and supporting the dental team in delivering excellent care.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying sports and hiking, and taking care of her two kids and her fur babies—a dog and two cats.
GLORI VELASQUEZ
DENTAL ASSISTANT
My name is Glorismel Velasquez, but everyone calls me Glori. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of North Georgia. I am originally from El Salvador, but I moved to the United States at a very young age and was raised in Georgia.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Outside of work, I enjoy playing soccer and spending quality time with my family.
HALI SAYLORS
DENTAL ASSISTANT
From Commerce, GA, I’m currently studying Dental Hygiene at Athens Technical College. I spent four years working as a veterinary assistant before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry. I also hold a diploma in Interior Design, which reflects my creative side and strong attention to detail.
GABRIEL MAYBERRY
RECEPTIONIST
Grew up in Braselton, Georgia and now calls Maysville home. He’s a proud dad to three grown sons, a devoted fan of a good podcast, and keeps the ’90s music playing whenever possible. A lifelong Star Wars enthusiast, Gabriel is also a big Atlanta Braves and Falcons fan—always ready to talk baseball, football, or the Force.
